present in everything at the same time without shape figure came into
living, first in the form of Paramjyothi, From whom are derived Brahma
Vishnu Maheshwar with the Goddesses .
This is followed by the creation of Earth, Sky, Fire, Water and Air –
the five fundamental elements known as Panchabhoothas. The living
beings like birds, animals and human beings were created and to uplift
them spiritual clause and stipulations were put in the form of Vedas
Upanishads and Brahma sutras etc., To guard these whenever the values
of truth, religion and peace are compromised, as it is put in
Bhagavadgeetha in a memorable statement
“TO DESTROY THE BAD AND TO ESTABLISH DHARMA I WILL REINCARNATE MYSELF”.
Yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavati bharata
Abhythanamadharmasya tadatmanam srijamyaham
Paritranaya sadhunang vinashay cha dushkritam

In the beginning of Kaliyuga, When there was threat to practice
culture, threat to spiritual traditions, customs, threat to practice
Vedas & Upanishads, GOD Almighty reincarnates in life as Sri
Adishanakaracharya . To teach & preach the generations, to remind us
of our mighty rich divine inheritance, to revive practice of Vedas &
As if to authenticate this it is seen that
At the age of five after the upakarma ritual, He had mastered four
Vedas by eight yrs. By the time he attained 12yrs.He was a scholar of
spiritual literatures, he was proficient in Brahmasutras, Upanishads
and Bhagavadgeetha by 16years. At late teens he had vast spiritual
knowledge, who authentically could preach the right way to follow
Vedic rituals & protocols. He traveled the country length & breadth
thrice by foot from Kashmir to Kanyakumari preaching the right way to
follow the spiritual life. To continue the legacy of his teachings he
found and established four Amnaya holy seats.
He adopted four most befitting eligible disciples. Handing over the
responsibilities to continue his legacy, at the age of thirty two he
disappeared into the valley of Kedar at the slopes of Himalayas.
Representing Jagadguru Sri Adishankara the spiritual Holy Heads of
four Chaturamnaya seats later established more Mathas(monasteries),
Spreading Hindu culture, Vedas and spiritual knowledge to the
generations and generations to follow.
Although there is no definitive evidence to precisely mention the date
and time when it was established, Vaishya Sri Gurumutt appears to be
one among these established Muttas.
Before 700years, Hindus from north India migrated to southern India,
to save their life, religion, culture, from the invasion of the mogul
At this time Vijaya Nagara throne had established and gathered
strength, which had a hold in Karnataka. It is likely that, at that
time, our ancestors premier Swamijis, spiritual heads of our Sri Sri
Gurumutt also migrated from northern India to settle in Karnataka.
As per available records it suggests that, our Sri Sri Gurumutt could
be one of those ancient establishments.
It appears that our pioneer Swamijis, to continue the worship of Sri
Vishweshwara of Kashi (the present day Benaras), with noble concept
and thinking, picked a place in the vicinity, where Athmalinga of Lord
Shiva exists, that is ‘Gokarn’.
Later King from Keladi dynasty donated Haladipur Area 30kms from Gokarna of land to our Swamiji of Vaishya Sri Gurumutt to build a hermitage and begin a new life.

In fact, so many senior citizens who toiled and put their life into this process have become one with God. They have bid farewell to their mortal living. The end result of their far vision, endeavour and hard work is His Holiness Sri Vamanashram Swamiji. The precious gift, which they handed over to our generation and the generations to come, is beyond human values and imagination.
How best we can preserve this sapling for the next generation, who would cherish and enjoy the fruits of this magnanimous divine tree. It is not the sole responsibility of the spiritual head His Holiness neither it is the responsibility of the committee members to resurrect or take care of SRI GURUMATH. Every one of us born in Vaishya Community are responsible and carry on our shoulder the moral responsibility of, not to repeat the history of lapse in the Sri Guru progeny.
By default, every one of us remember our Sri Swamiji every day. There is not a single day in our life, that we have spent, without thinking about Sri Haldipur Math. It is customary for all the community people to have an image of our Sri Swamiji and Diety of Haldipur Sri Math at the place of worship or at work or in our shrine.
